Bike Workshop at Carney's Community
The workshop is completely free and run by bike mechanics and youth workers.
Our free Bike Workshop sessions run every Thursday including an opportunity for support on basic repairs with our bike mechanic, group cycles and during bad weather we do on site bike related activities. We then offer a free hot meal to all young people involved in the Bike Workshop. After the meal we run a Bike Maintenance Course, led by our Bike Mechanic. This course is by referral only and last for 5 sessions.
The course includes opportunities to progress in bicycle maintenance, repair and mechanic skills. You do not need a bike to take part, we have bikes on site you can use. We have some opportunities for young people to earn bikes and a few opportunities to progress into employment at our Saturday bike shop social enterprise, for those who complete the bike mechanic course.
The workshop is open to young people ages 11 to 17, we request you phone or email us first if you are interested in attending.
