PHYC - Youth Club
Our youth club is a safe, welcoming space in Clapham Junction where young people can relax with friends, play sport, get creative, cook and take part in activities. Every young person who attends gets a free hot meal. Sessions are led by experienced youth workers who build long-term, trusting relationships, so young people always have someone to talk to. Sessions run Tuesday 4 to 6pm and Wednesday 5.30 to 7.30pm. Registration is required before attending.
Our youth club has been at the heart of Providence House for over 60 years, and it is still where most young people first get to know us. It is a safe, welcoming space in Clapham Junction where young people can come as they are, spend time with friends and be around adults who genuinely care about them.
Each session is relaxed but purposeful. Young people can play sport and games, get creative, cook, take part in group activities or simply chill out and talk. Behind the fun, our experienced youth workers are building long-term, trusting relationships. That means we are often the first people a young person turns to when something is going wrong at home, at school or in the community, and we can offer support or connect them to the right help early.
Every young person who attends gets a free hot meal, and for some young people this makes a real difference. Sitting down to eat together is one of the most important parts of the session. At Providence House, young people eat first. It is about dignity and belonging as much as food.
The youth club is free to attend, with no referral needed. Young people simply need to complete our registration form before their first session so we can keep them safe and get to know them.
Sessions run on Tuesdays from 4 to 6pm and Wednesdays from 5.30 to 7.30pm at 138 Falcon Road, Clapham Junction, SW11 2LW.
