Summer in Battersea Park
Summer in Battersea Park is a free, family-friendly summer event series taking place in the heart of Battersea Park. The weekend will host live music, family entertainment, sports and arts activities, food and drink traders, and community-led experiences across the weekend.
Saturday’s programme will feature Wandsworth Family Pride, celebrating inclusivity and community with performances, activities, and entertainment for all ages, while Sunday will host the Battersea Park Dog Show, welcoming dog lovers and families for a full day of competitions, activities, and attractions.

Saturday 20 June: 12pm to 9pm
Sunday 21 June: 11am to 7pm
Happy Streets
A free family arts festival in Battersea packed with live performances, face painting, delicious food and creative fun for all ages happening on Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July.
Battersea Park in Concert
Enable’s open-air concert returns this August Bank Holiday. Back by popular demand, Kids Tipiland will offer interactive activities, make-and-play stations, silly games and more. Best suited for children aged 3–10, with free access for all ticket holders.
Wandsworth HAF
The next Wandsworth Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme will run from 21 July to 28 August 2026.
Funded by the Department for Education (DfE), the programme provides free enriching activities and healthy food during school holidays for eligible children
Wandsworth's Big Play Out
Ready, set, play! Wandsworth’s Big Play Out is heading to Battersea Park from 27–31 July, bringing five days of exciting activities, big adventures and unforgettable family fun.
Designed especially for children of Primary School age (5-11), Big Play Out includes hands-on activities, live performances, and creative play.
Tickets range from £16.47 to £25.44 (inc fees), with all activities and food included in the ticket price – so all you need to do is enjoy the fun!

Family Hubs
Family Hubs are a great place to go to get a wide range of services and support for you and your family – all in one place. We have family hubs in Roehampton, Battersea and Tooting. Services are offered to parents and children aged 0-19 years [25 years for young people with special educational needs and disabilities]

SEND Local Offer
If your child has Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND), Wandsworth has a dedicated SEND Local Offer page which has information on the council, education, health, voluntary groups who can support you and your child or young person, from 0 to 25 years old.
Wandsworth Youth Service
Wandsworth Youth Service offers youth clubs and a wide range of programmes across the borough for young people aged 11–19, or up to 25 for those with a disability.

Libraries
Did you know that our libraries have all sorts of activities, from Lego Clubs to board games and Arts Clubs to Story Time for younger children? Find out what's happening at your local library.
Get involved in our Summer Reading Challenge, a free initiative designed to keep children aged 4 to 11 engaged in reading throughout the summer holidays. The theme for 2026 is Read to the Beat, and children can take part in fun and creative ways either in-person at their local library or online. Please visit your local library to sign-up, where you will receive a challenge pack and guidance from library staff.
