345 Nursery School is in the heart of Balham, Wandsworth. Our aim is to give children, aged 2-5 years old, the best start on their journey of life-long learning.
Our aim is for all children to leave 345 with:
- A positive disposition for learning
- A strong emotional and intellectual foundation, confident to embark on their next stage of schooling
We achieve this by using a combination of both Traditional and Montessori methods, giving children the chance to experience both structured and free play, thereby developing at their own pace.

Mini Oaks
The move to nursery can feel like a big step. Mini Oaks at 345 Balham gives children aged 15 months+ a warm and nurturing introduction to nursery by offering sessions from 9:45am - 11:45am.
They are an ideal stepping-stone for toddlers to get familiar with the nursery environment, so they feel safe, happy and confident when their move to full-time nursery begins. Led by Miss Slavka, who has been at the nursery for 15 years, the children benefit from a 1:3 teacher/child ratio which provides them with focused support. Activities range from sensory exploration, role play and arts, to creative play in our dedicated outdoor learning space.
