ACES Youth Club from Merton MENCAP

Aces Active runs during term time on Thursday evenings at a local gym in Mitcham 6:30pm – 9pm.  

The club is for anyone aged between 16-24, with a mild / moderate learning disability and / or autism, who is interested in sports or keeping fit. 

The sessions are split into 3 parts:

The first hour members use the gym equipment,

This is followed by 30 minutes for participants to relax and socialise

Fiinal hour in sports hall -  this section can comprise of sports, dance, education around healthy eating and wellbeing or other similar activities.

We will give priority to young people who are finding it particularly hard to make or sustain friendships or who do not currently take part in many mainstream social opportunities.

The club is primarily for young people who live in Merton but we can accept young people who attend a school or college in Merton but live in a neighbouring borough.

To join, there is a membership fee of £4.50 per session, which is invoiced termly and is required to be paid even if a member is unable to attend all sessions.
