I am a mother and glamorous grandma - so they say. I was a working parent thus I know how important childminding provision is for supporting parents who require someone who can provide the same care and protection they give their children.
I saw again this vital support childminder provides for my now-grown children. I contribute as well to this care, especially for my daughter, a nurse (shift worker), who requires flexible wrap-around care for her children. I have always loved and enjoyed working with children. I have held volunteer roles as a Children Church leader, and holiday club children worker for some years. Hence I became a Childminder for a career change.
I love looking after the children in my care and they love spending time with me. I provide them with varying interesting cultural experiences with indoor and outdoor activities, along with regular trips out. I ensure their development is well-rounded through play and learning. And of course, living in Wandsworth Town, I am also able to boast of being close to many amenities with good transport links: Schools, libraries, green spaces (St Georges and Battersea Park).
My Qualifications: Teaching (PGCE PCET), Business and Project Management. I am a multi-skilled professional who has held training, project, grants and volunteer coordinator roles. I am also an accredited Information, Advice and Guidance; and a volunteer adviser for Citizens Advice. An effective communicator, collaborator, and organiser, which are also essential skills for childminding.
