Belleville Wix Academy (formerly Wix Primary School)
Belleville Wix Academy (formerly Wix Primary School) became an academy school in August 2017 and provides education for up to 300 children. The school is located in the Clapham Common area.
This school caters for boys and girls aged between 3-11 years old.
All Wandsworth schools:
- offer a curriculum which covers the National Curriculum;
- provide teaching in key areas like English and maths and science; and
- encourage the healthy development of a child's physical, emotional and social skills.
Wix Primary school shares their building with a French primary school, Ecole de Wix. From September 2005, all the children at Wix Primary School started to learn French and from September 2006 the school started a bilingual stream where children are taught for half their time in French and half in English. They were the first state school to do this.
