Wandsworth Carers' Centre

Wandsworth Carers' Centre provides information and support for those looking after an adult or child who has a learning, mental or physical disability, or a long term illness, meaning they are unable to manage without help.

If you are supporting someone by providing practical or emotional support, and live in Wandsworth, or care for someone who lives in the borough then the Centre is here for you.

The Centre offers:

  • benefits advice;
  • mental health support;
  • carers emergency support scheme;
  • substance misuse help; and
  • therapies such as massage and osteopathy.

The centre also offer specialist support to parents and carers of children and young people in Wandsworth with a mental health diagnosis.

The services now offered include:

  • specialist information and benefits advice,
  • one to one support,
  • complementary therapies such as massage and osteopathy,
  • counselling, information events, support groups.

The Carers' Centre work with Carers who are not paid for what they do.  Parents/Carers can include relatives or family friends who play an active weekly role in supporting the young person with a mental health diagnosis.

The Wandsworth Carers Centre also supports Young Carers aged 5-18 years old, in their caring role, to have a life outside of caring and to have a voice. With offices in both Wandsworth and Balham, we are able to deliver our services throughout the Borough.
