Tooting Primary School ASD Resource Base
This Resource Base provides Specialist Provision for children with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder within Tooting Primary School.
The Resource Base offers:
- a personalised curriculum and supported integration into a mainstream classroom environment, based on individual need;
- a broad, balanced, indoor and outdoor curriculum delivered by specialist teachers is supplemented by other professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapy programmes; and
- a strong emphasis is placed on developing independence and social skills, in addition to the National Curriculum.
The Base is made up of two classrooms and a sensory room. A strong commitment to supporting individual children and working with parents and carers is key to our practice.
