Therapies for children in special schools

NHS

The Special Schools Therapy team provides assessment and intervention for children and young people in special schools in Wandsworth.

These are:

Paddock Primary

Paddock Secondary

Greenmead School

These schools cater for children and young people who have a range of difficulties, which include:

  • Visual Impairment/Blindness
  • Significant Physical Impairments
  • Communication Impairments
  • Learning Difficulties
  • Social Interaction Difficulties
  • Feeding and Self Care Difficulties

Each school has input from Speech and Language Therapy (SLT), Occupational Therapy (OT) or Physiotherapy (PT) according to the needs of the children who attend that school. St George's Healthcare NHS Trust employs qualified SLT, OT and PT staff as well as some unqualified assistant staff. In addition, there are in some schools assistants who are employed and/or funded by the school.

Linden Lodge School provides therapy services directly at the school. To contact the therapists call 020 8788 0107 ext. 4 or email [javascript protected email address]

Please see the service's website for more information.
