WAND Card holders - Parking outside Wandsworth Schools **Restrictions Apply

The WAND card allows you to park near your child's school for 10-15 minutes to pick up or drop off your child, during term time only.

You may use any marked parking bay within a Controlled Parking Zone, including:

  • Resident Permit Holder Only bays
  • Business Permit Holder Only bays
  • Permit Holder Only bays
  • Shared‑use bays (permit holders / pay at machine / pay‑by‑phone)

Your child’s WAND card must be clearly displayed on the dashboard with the registration number visible for checking.

However, with the increasing introduction of School Streets that ban cars during specific days/times you may now need to apply for an exemption as well, or you may get a ticket

If your child's school is on a School Street where entering using a car during specific days/times will lead to a penalty ticket being issued, you must apply for an exemption.

Please use the link below to check whether your child’s school is in a designated school street, eligibility criteria and application form for an exemption.

School Street Exemption eligibility & application

If a School Street isn’t listed as a drop down on the online form, it means the School Street does not currently have camera enforcement and an exemption  is not required before entering the School Street.

For further enquiries  e-mail : schoolstreets@wandsworth.gov.uk

No through traffic is allowed on School Streets, including WAND Cardholders. If a WAND Cardholder’s journey typically goes through a School Street they should seek an alternative route.
