Thomas's Battersea
Thomas's Battersea is a co-educational independent (fee-paying) preparatory school, offering places to girls and boys aged 4 (reception) -13, located in Battersea Village.
The school occupies a Grade II listed building, the former Sir Walter St John Grammar School, founded in 1700.
Thomas's Battersea is one of Thomas's London Day Schools founded by David and Joanna Thomas, a small group of family-run independent schools in South West London. One of their sons, Mr Ben Thomas, has been headmaster of Thomas's Battersea since 1999.
Pupils at Thomas's Battersea are expected to progress to the major Independent London Day Schools via the 11+ route, or to the traditional Public (Boarding) Schools through the Common Entrance process at 13+.
