Young People's Wellbeing Youth Club
KIDS Wellbeing Youth Club is a free weekly group for young people aged 15 to 20 with SEND, suited to a 1:4 support ratio. The club is a safe space for young people to make friends, learn life skills and take part in activities that support their mental health and well-being.
The sessions focus on supporting mental health and emotional wellbeing, while also helping young people to make friends and learn important life skills. Activities are varied and led by the interests of the young people, and can include sports, group games, arts and crafts, cooking and baking, and occasional trips out into the community. A free dinner is provided each week, which young people help to prepare with support from staff, encouraging independence and teamwork.
Being based at Lady Allen Adventure Playground means the club also benefits from a fully accessible and secure setting, with a wide range of indoor and outdoor facilities such as soft play, sensory spaces, swings, climbing equipment and open areas for socialising and play. The environment is inclusive and youth-centred, allowing young people to choose how they spend their time and take part in activities in a way that suits them.
Overall, the Wellbeing Youth Club offers a consistent, inclusive space where young people with SEND can have fun, feel supported, and develop the skills and confidence they need for everyday life.
