Hurlingham School & Nursery

Hurlingham School is an independent (fee-paying) co-educational nursery and pre-preparatory school located in Putney for children aged 2 - 11.

Originally founded in 1947, the school now occupies a modern, purpose-built premises adjacent to Wandsworth Park in Putney Bridge Road.

The history of Hurlingham School dates back to 1947, when it was known as “Miss Rosemary Whitehead’s Kindergarten Class”: in the early years the school occupied premises in Fulham High Street and Deodar Road, Putney.

Children can join the Nursery once they turn two-years old. Children enter the Reception class in the autumn term after they turn four. Reception places are offered a year before a child’s entry.

Hurlingham is More Than Just A School. It is a learning community where children are curious and aspirational and parents are genuine partners in their child’s journey. A school where every child is known, valued and inspired was recently recognised in it’s ISI Inspection with the rare and prestigious judgement of a ‘Significant Strength’ for their Early Years’ provision.
