Furzedown Recreation Centre

This facility provides outdoor floodlit training areas for a number of sports.

It is open to children, young people and adults in the evenings, weekends and during school holidays. 

Facilities include:

• A large all weather 7-a-side playing surface - suitable for hockey and football
• A multi-games hard court - marked for netball and basketball, can also be used for 5-a-side football
• Spectator viewing area
• A running track and long jump pit
• 3 floodlit tennis courts
• Children's parties
• Various children's clubs including football, tennis, tag rugby and cricket

You can telephone or drop in for information on activities. You do not have to become a member to use the service, but membership will allow you to get discounts on activities. You can use the service during opening times and set activity times. Book early to avoid disappointment. It is advisable to bring: a towel, water bottle, change of clothes and appropriate footwear.
