Autism Central for Parents and Carers

Are you a family member or carer of an autistic child or adult? Are you looking for support, but not sure where to start?
Autism Central offers a wealth of resources for parents, carers and personal assistants of autistic people in England – from articles and learning materials to signposting you to services and support in your local area.
Who we are:
We offer parents and carers of autistic people easy access to autism education, training and support. It has been set up to help you access information you can trust, all in one place. Our resources have been developed together with autistic people, parents and carers and subject matter experts, and follow the most recent research and guidance.
Autism Central has been set up by nine leading not-for-profit organisations in the UK and commissioned by NHS England’s Workforce, Training and Education Team.
Our vision:
Is a world where parents, families and personal assistants of autistic children and adults are knowledgeable about autism, skilled to navigate services and empowered to maintain both their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of the autistic person they support.
We run a peer education programme, where families of autistic people share their knowledge and experience with other families in their area via our regional hubs.
We provide this Autism Central website as a gateway to information on autism - from articles and training materials to contacts in your area.
