I am a qualified teacher with a  master in child phycology. I have over 13 years of experience working in Early Years. 

I live with William, my partner, in Putney, off Dover House Road. Our garden has raised beds, a pond and a waterfall, and offers many opportunities for little people to have fun and learn.  The sessions I am offering will run three days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8am to 6pm. Each session will have a theme, which I will rotate, so all the children are able to enjoy all of the sessions.

Session 1: Forest school session.

We will be making the most of the great outdoors. Den building, tree climbing, mini-beast hunting, adventure walks, pond dipping, using tools, and even cooking on an open fire, are examples of some of the activities that I will be offering. Richmond park is one kilometre away and Putney Heath, Wimbledon and Barnes Commons are even closer.  These sites, and Kew Gardens, which is just a short drive, are some of the locations I will use for this session.

Session 2: Cookery classes and gardening.

Nothing compares with the delight of harvesting your own produce from the garden and then creating tasty recipes and dishes.  It is a great way to encourage healthy eating. I am passionate about gardening and this year, in addition to growing many flowers, we are cultivating a variety of fruit and vegetables (apples, plums, pears, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumber, salad leaves, peas, runner beans, courgettes and many more). They are all thriving with this glorious sunshine!

I shall aim to introduce variety into the children's diet, and instil in them a passion for fresh food, by involving them in the process of growing, harvesting and preparing their meals. If we cannot grow it, we will buy it from local shops and I will use this as an opportunity to introduce mathematics and reading skills.  There is a lot to learn from recipes and shopping lists!

Session 3: London adventures.

London is a magnificent city full of magical places for children.  The list is endless; museums, theatres, farms, zoo, aquarium, playgrounds, soft places, libraries and even lakes for boating adventures! I shall endeavour to offer the children a full experience of this vibrant city.  The best classroom is one without walls where children can learn from real and meaningful experiences.

I use a software program called "Baby Days" where parents are able to log in from a phone or computer to obtain up to date information, view daily pictures of our adventures and send and receive messages. It is a paperless system so  documents can be read and signed online. It is safe and secure and also records each child's development, their achievements and their next steps.

Initially, whilst operating from home, I shall offer three places per day for children aged 3 months to 2 year old.
