The Council for Disabled Children (CDC)

This is the umbrella body for the disabled children and young people's sector in England.  It is the only national body that brings together the diverse range of organisations that work with and for disabled children and young people (0-25 years old)  to support the development and implementation of policy and practice. 

CDC aims to make a difference to the lives of disabled children and children with special educational needs.  They do this by influencing Government policy, working with local agencies to translate policy into practice and producing guidance on issues affecting the lives of disabled children.

• Events

The CDC makes a wide variety of resources available to parents and practitioners and professionals. Some material is produced by them, some by the wider voluntary sector and some by central government. Many of these resources are available free of charge. Please visit the website for more details.
