Enhanced Children's Centre (ECC)

The Enhanced Children’s Centre is a provision specifically for families in Wandsworth with young children (0-5 years) with a disability, special educational need or complex medical need.
You will find a welcoming space where you and your child can have fun, play and learn. The centre has indoor and outdoor play spaces, a multi- sensory room and soft play room.
West Hill Enhanced Children’s Centre has a Facebook page, Instagram, and website for families, Here you will be able to find up to date information on services and sessions.
Due to Corona Virus there are still some limitations on our offer to children and families and you can contact us Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm to also find out more.

Legal Advice
Telephone consultations available for free family law advice on areas such as divorce, finance and social services involvement. You must be registered and have a child under 5 years old to book an appointment. Please speak to a member of staff for further details on how to book. Booking required.
SMILE – Oral Health Session
Get advice and tips on how to look after your child’s teeth and gums and find out more about the
Community Special Care Dental Service that works with those finding it difficult to access regular dental care. Our oral health promoter, Sheryll John, visits stay and play sessions regularly during the term.
Why not pop in and have a chat about your child’s dental health needs. Please contact the centre to find out the date and time of her next visit.
A Space to Talk
All parents have questions, worries or concerns about their child from time to time. Sometimes it can be helpful to talk things over with someone else. Our educational psychologist (EP) Emma attends regular drop-ins at the centre to give parents a space to talk about any worries or questions that they may have about their child. Please contact the centre to find out the date and time of her next visit.
Soft play and sensory rooms
The soft play and sensory rooms are available for individual families to use free of charge by appointment only. Maximum three children. Booking required.
Like all Children's Centres, the ECC offer:
- stay and play sessions;
- parenting groups;
- focused therapeutic services and health care;
- advice, guidance and support for parents on topics such childcare, benefits, employment and choosing schools and nurseries;
- training for parents and carers;
- access to information about support networks and other services available to families with children with a range of additional needs; and they can issue Foodbank Vouchers.

We now have an online referral form available on the ECC website to be used by professionals when referring children to the ECC (if not doing it via the Referral to Universal Services). We will no longer be accepting referrals by email.
Access to the referral form, along with information on how to make a referral, which children can attend the ECC and what happens with the referral once it has been made can be viewed on our website at the following link https://enhancedcc.org/information-for-professionals/
The referral form itself is hosted by Wandsworth Council so when you click on the 'make your referral' button it will take you to the councils website.
