Dingley's Promise Early Years Inclusion Project

The Dingley's Promise Early Years Inclusion Project is a five year project supported by Comic Relief.

The aim of the project is to increase the number of young children with SEND accessing early years and childcare places. To increase inclusive working by:

  • Partnership with Local Authorities
  • Meaningful Parental Engagement
  • A National Steering Group
  • A Comprehensive and Extensive Training Offer across the country

Wandsworth has been selected to be part of the second wave of LAs, joining the first 10 local authorities to increase to 20 LAS, and then finally 30 altogether.  We are tremendously proud and grateful to benefit from this National Project in its second year. We will stay engaged with this project as it develops through their five-year plan, until June 2026.

Free training

Free training is available to all Early Years Settings, schools, childminders, parents, children centre and health colleagues.

The courses are designed for practitioners in mind but, as shared, are available for anyone who works in or with early years settings, including parents if they so wish.

We want to encourage as many people as possible in each setting to undertake the training, to achieve the different stages of the inclusion friendly Kitemark Scheme.  The stages are, ‘Ally’, ‘Leader’ up to ‘Master’ level.

The course is not assessed or accredited, but you will earn a certificate of completion at the end of each course and a final certificate on completion of the whole programme.

The current learning offer:

Course 1:   Introduction to Early Years Inclusive Practice

 Course 2:  Early Years Transitions

Course 3:  Having Difficult Conversations with Families

Course 4: Managing Behaviours that Challenge, via email: training@dingley.org.uk
