Granard Children's Centre

Children’s Centres provide a welcoming space where you and your child can have fun and learn.

For dads, mums and carers with their children aged 0 - 3.5 years.

The benefits of attending a Children’s Centre include:

  • making friends;
  • learning to play creatively with your child;
  • doing things with your child to bring you closer;
  • improving your parenting skills;
  • training courses to help you back into the world of work;
  • having fun knowing that your child is nearby and being properly cared for;
  • attending groups for parents of special needs children or for young parents; and
  • getting support with family problems.

Please see the timetable under 'Downloads'. Some activities may require booking. The activities are free, though some may need a referral from a member of staff.

Due to the unprecedented hot weather and the level 4 extreme heat warnings for Monday and Tuesday we have had to review some of the services we are able to deliver on these days, this is to  ensure everyone is kept safe as possible.

The department of health and social care advise children are unable to control their body temperature as efficiently as adults and therefore can be at greater risk of ill health from the heat.

Therefore we will not be running  Stay Play and learn  sessions on Tuesday 18th July,  however, the centre will still be open to provide support and advice to families. If you would like to speak to a member of the children’s centre please contact us on   0208 871 6655.

**The children’s centre programme may be subject to change at short notice. We will make every effort to inform you of any changes at the earliest time possible, sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
