The Play People - York Gardens Nursery
Our nursery is located within the Children’s Centre in York Gardens, Battersea and has 2 play rooms and a wonderful, large outdoor space. We support children’s learning and development through their play in a caring and supportive environment. Our highly qualified and experienced team helped the nursery to secure their ‘OUTSTANDING’ rating in all areas in our latest Ofsted inspection.

The nursery is based in York Gardens Children Centre in a green and leafy open space located on the corner of Plough Road and York Road, Battersea, SW11. The nursery is surrounded by a big multi-coloured fence next door to a fantastic play ground. Clapham Junction train station is 5 minutes’ walk from the nursery and there is free parking in the surrounding roads. Vehicle access into the park is from Lavender Road.

- We support all children with their early learning and have an experienced and qualified staff team who will develop individual plans for children to support them with their development and learning. Our nursery manager is a qualified Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) and has repeatedly secured additional funding to provide additional staffing support and resources for children with additional requirements.
