The Play People - York Gardens Nursery

York Gardens Nursery is located within the Children’s Centre in York Gardens Park. The nursery has 2 large play rooms and a wonderful garden which allows the children space and freedom to play and explore their interests. We support children’s learning and development by providing an environment that is fascinating and full of wonder supported by caring, highly qualified and experienced adults. All of our team are qualified early years educators including an early years teacher and 3 early years graduates.

Our nursery is inclusive of all children and we work with Speech and Language Therapy,  Occupational Therapy and Educational Psychology as part of Wandsworth Nursery Inclusion Project for all to provide children with additional support when needed.

If you would like to visit the nursery, that enables access for all children, please contact us to arrange a visit for you and your child. Our nursery manager will show you around, provide you with more information about the nursery and answer all your questions.

Notes

The nursery is based in York Gardens Children Centre in a green and leafy open space  located on the corner of Plough Road and York Road, Battersea, SW11. The children's centre provides lots of fun and interactive play sessions and information, advice and support for families with young children.  The nursery is surrounded by a big multi-coloured fence in the middle of the park close to the library. There are currently redevelopment works happening in the surrounding area and the park looks a little like a building site. We are open as usual. Clapham Junction train station is 5 minutes’ walk from the nursery. Vehicle access into the park is from Lavender Road.
