Smallwood Language Unit (Resource Base)

The Language Unit based at Smallwood Primary School is a special unit for children with speech and language difficulties and/or social communication difficulties.
The unit caters for children aged 3 to 11 years.
The Language Unit at Smallwood has 40 places for children with Statements of Special Educational Needs/Education Health and Care Plans relating to Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties.
These Language Unit classes are housed in classrooms between the equivalent mainstream classes, demonstrating the school ethos that the Unit is an integral part of the school.
Language Unit children are fully included into daily school life, whilst still receiving their lessons in a specialist environment.
Please contact the unit for more information, or to arrange a tour.
