Cafcass

Cafcass (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service) looks after the interests of children involved in family proceedings.

Cafcass work with children and their families, and then advise the courts on what they consider to be in the best interest of individual children.

The website contains information on topics including:

  • Divorce and Separation - when families cannot agree on who children should live with, or who they should spend time with.

  • Adoption - when the parental responsibility for a child is transferred to a new family.

  • Care - when a local authority is worried about the safety of a child.

Visit the Cafcass website for more information.
