This project is for women who have been affected by abuse including sexual and domestic violence. Mothers /carers and their children have access to one-off sessions and an eight week course to assist in developing language and literacy skills, communication skills, and safety planning.
For mothers / carers from black, ethnic minority and refugee communities and their children aged 0-16 years who have been affected by violence.
This programme will help:
- children's behaviour;
- improve parenting skills to support children's learning;
- develop and improve communication; and
- increase self esteem and confidence.
Parents or support workers can contact the project to refer themselves or a family.
