Groundwork

Groundwork is a national charity that works with communities across the UK supporting them to create better places, live and work in a greener, more sustainable way and to improve their economic prospects.

Some examples of what Groundwork do are:

- They work to improve people's prospects by supporting people into training or employment by increasing the confidence, skills, well-being and employability of those furthest removed from the labour market, in particular young people.

- They work to create better spaces by improving public open spaces through working closely with communities, and public and private sector partners to create greener, safer and healthier neighbourhoods.

- They
promote greener living and learning by supporting people to reduce their energy and water use, by educating people about their use of household resources, their environmental impact and how to reduce these.

As well this, there are two other programmes they provide:

ACE - offering tailored one to one support and specialist advice to people with disabilities and long term health problems, as well as supporting employers to identify and adapt vacancies.  Read more in the ACE Leaflet, attached, or on the Groundwork website.

Family Works - help with advice, guidance, support with family issues, skills training and more.  Read more in the Family Works leaflet, attached, or on the Groundwork website.
