Parent and professional training

Each term Wandsworth Autism Advisory Service provides a series of training for professionals and parents in Wandsworth.

Parent sessions usually offer two parts.  The initial session will deliver theory and advice on the topic and the second session will provide a forum for discussion for parents about the topic or other issues.  These sessions are free to attend and will occur online and at our Centre (1, Siward Road, SW17 0LA).

Professional training is free to attend and covers a wide range of topics that will change each term.  If you would like to request bespoke training on a particular subject for your whole school please email autismadvisory@wandsworth.gov.uk.

Current schedules of training are attached in the ‘downloads’ section on this page.  Please open these documents and use the link provided to sign up to a session.

Children and Young People Groups

Each term Wandsworth Autism Advisory Service will run groups for young people.  The focus on the group and the targeted age range will vary.  For information on current groups please click on the individual flyers in the ‘downloads’ section of this page.

To sign a child or young person up to a group in the future and to be alerted when an appropriate group is due to run, please complete this screener form.

Siblings Groups:

At WAAS we try to run regular siblings groups, for those children and young people who have an Autistic sibling. We normally run the groups in the schools holidays. Please complete the group screener to be contacted, the next time this group runs:
