Capoeira

Capoeira is a fusion of Fitness, Acrobatics, Self-Defense, Dance and Music (instruments playing/singing).
The Capoeira classes at Putney Leisure Centre are run by ACER Capoeira London UK are aimed at adults aged 18-65, though parents/carers can bring their children along to take part.
Capoeira is a mix of disciplines which build/develop:
- Confidence, self-esteem
- Self-discipline, respect
- Physical fitness, strength, stamina, flexibility
- Balance, coordination
- Creativity and learning
Capoeira has already been shown to help people to stay out of trouble. Capoeira also introduces young people to a new language (Brazilian Portuguese) through music and movements.
All classes are suitable for beginners. You do not have to be a member of the Leisure Centre to attend the class. You can book online and pay less for your trial session or you can just turn up to the class and pay on arrival.
Please bring water and suitable comfortable clothing (ideally a tracksuit and a white or blue t-shirt).
