Huggie Bears Family Childcare

I am a Professional Ofsted Registered Childminder and I have worked as registered Childminder for the past 11 years. 

I have been working in early years education and care since 1998 with experience spanning no less than three countries - England, Ireland and Germany.  Over the years I have cared for many children varying in age from birth to early teens; Children of different nationalities, ages, learning difficulties and special needs from the level of Nursery Nurse to Nursery Manager Level.

I hold a BA Degree in Early Childhood Studies (Hons), Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy (Mont. Dip.) (Level 4), C.A.C.H.E. Diploma in Nursery Nursing (N.N.E.B.) (Level 3), National Certificate in Childcare (Level 3) and Advanced Forest Schools Leader (Level 3). In addition, the current highest professional accreditation, ‘Early Years Professional Status’ (EYP) from University of Kingston.

Holder of several qualifications in both business management and consultancy.

I am also an Area Lead working with Mentors and Childminders on behalf of the Department for Education Covid-19 Recovery Childminder Programme.

Numerous other Continuous Professional Development courses completed.

I consider myself to provide high quality childcare within a happy, nurturing, safe and stimulating home environment offering inclusive, well planned, resourced, challenging and engaging play opportunities for all children to develop positive relationships and to reach their full potential. 

For children in the early years, the Early Years Foundation Stage is used to plan activities through observation and assessment to meet children’s individual needs and plan for the next steps in their learning and development.

We focus on being active in the community attending Childminder groups, Forest School, library as well as exploring the great outdoors in the use of the many beautiful parks and exciting day trips such as to the farm.

Huggie Bears Family Childcare is centrally located to local transport networks. Direct access for the A3 for Central London and Surrey. Southfields, East Putney Underground stations and Putney and Wandsworth Town Overground Stations are within a ten to fifteen minute walk. Buses: 39, 93, 156 and 170. Both the number 39 and 156 bus stops are located at the end of the road.
