Wandsworth Volunteer Police Cadets
The Volunteer Police Cadets work with the Metropolitan Police and participate in team-based programmes and activities that promote safer, healthier neighbourhoods across the capital.
Volunteer Police Cadets is open to all Young People aged 10 to 18 years who live or go to school, college or work in the borough of Wandsworth are eligible to take part.
The aims of the Police Cadet programme are:
- to encourage personal development by learning basic policing skills and life skills;
- to promote citizenship; and
- to enhance the relationship between the police, community and young people in the borough.
There is a fast track program for Cadets into the Police Service if young people are looking at a career in the Police.
All Senior cadets must sign the official secrets act and code of conduct.

We have Junior Cadet units across the Borough for children aged 10-13 years old, giving everyone an opportunity to come and join us. The location for the Junior Cadets are Southfields Academy on Wednesdays(5pm-6:30pm).
Our Senior Cadet units are at Southfields Academy on both a Tuesday Evening and Wednesday Evening which run from 6:30pm-9pm and are for young people aged between 14-18 years old.
