Work and Health Programme

The Work and Health Programme is a government scheme to help you get and keep a job if you’re disabled and find it hard to work. It’s voluntary - you don’t have to do it.

The type of support you get depends on the help you need. This is different for everyone but can include:

  • Training and developing your skills
  • Finding a job that suits you
  • Building your confidence
  • Interview coaching

You’ll have an interview to see what support you need when you join the Work and Health Programme. The scheme is delivered by different providers across the country. They offer three levels of help:

1. Work Entry Support, offering advice on work and personal skills for up to 6 months to help you find a job

2. In-Work Support, offering help for up to 2 years to start work and stay in your job

3. Longer-term In-Work Support, offering long-term help to get on in your job and work without support.

Visit the GOV.UK website or your local Jobcentre Plus to find out if you can get help through the Work and Health Programme and how to join.
