Al Risalah Nursery School with Islamic ethos

The Nursery is located on Gatton Road and is part of the Al-Risalah Education Trust. It accommodates in total 90 children during the morning and afternoon sessions.

This is an independent mixed nursery school for boys and girls aged 3-5 years old. The Ground floor Nursery accommodation belongs to the Al-Risalah Trust. The Nursery is very popular within the community and has consistently received positive feedback and a good grade in Ofsted inspections, outstanding in PSHE.

The nursery offers both 15-hour and 30-hour places. The setting also offers flexible sessions.

Children entitled to 30-hours, receive an extra 5 hours per week free of charge. Children attending on a flexible plan also receive 2 extra hours free of charge.

The staff are all qualified to a minimum of level 3 in childcare and we have two members of staff who have are fully qualified teachers.

All our staff are Paediatric first aiders and are all trained by St George's hospital to support children with Type 1 Diabetes.

Staff between them, speak English, French, Arabic, Urdu, Gujerati, Punjabi, Bengali, Portuguese, Kutchi.

We have Ballet club run by an external provider, Grace and Poise, and Yoga club, run by Beams Academy. These are held during the lunch break and are provided free of charge.

We take the children on regular outings in the local area and our end of year trip to West Wittering beach is a highlight.

We have an annual visit from Jambs Owls and the children enjoy learning about owls and holding them.

Although it is not guaranteed, many of our children go on to apply for Reception class at our neighbouring Gatton Primary school.

We have a robust transition process and work closely with Gatton primary to ensure that our children settle quickly and thrive in their new environment.

We share a common ethos and children from Al Risalah Nursery enter Reception with a firm foundation of the values both settings encourage.
