Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea - Schools information

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea lies to the northeast of Wandsworth, on the other side of the River Thames over Battersea, Albert and Chelsea Bridges. Kensington and Chelsea has 26 primary schools, five secondary schools, and two special schools.

Children and young people who live in Wandsworth can attend nurseries, primary schools, maintained and academy schools, and colleges in Kensington & Chelsea (attendance may be subject to distance restrictions).

In 2001 Hammersmith & Fulham Council, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster City Council devised a scheme to reduce costs by sharing services. Known as the 'tri-borough' these three London Boroughs share the provision of some of the services they provide, in order to save money.
