Asha Project

The Asha Projects offers secure, temporary accommodation for South Asian women and children fleeing domestic violence. Women can stay in accommodation called refuges, which are shared with other women who have similar experiences. The Asha Project also works in partnership with the Forced Marriage Unit to provide information and support to university students who are experiencing pressure to get married.

For Asian women and their children fleeing domestic violence or arranged marriage.

The Asha Projects provides:

  • confidential advice and information to anyone who is experiencing domestic violence, or is worried about someone they know;
  • supports women with housing applications so that they can live independently; and
  • emotional and practical support to help women while they stay at the refuge.
