Wandsworth Hearing Support Service (WHSS)
Wandsworth Hearing Support Service (WHSS) provides information, resources and support to deaf and hard of hearing children and young people, from birth to 25 years, and their families, carers and teachers.
Their work follows a holistic family centred approach in order to help children and young people reach their full potential. Tailored support is provided from the time of diagnosis, throughout the school years and as they transition into adulthood.

We have an open referral system which means we take referrals from parents and professionals. Please email to request a referral form. We require an audiological assessment from a registered Audiologist before we can carry out an individual assessment and intervention. We can give you information on how to obtain this.

To use this service you can:
- Refer yourself or your child
- Be referred by your doctor/consultant or other health practitioner, and/or
- Be referred by your Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO)
You can contact this service for information about deafness whether you are a relative of a person with a hearing impairment or not
