London Nightstop

London nightstop is a part of Depaul - a youth homelessness national charity who centre on the prevention and intervention of homelessness.

They offer emergency accommodation for low-risk young people aged 16-25 who are in a time of crisis and are unable to stay at home. They can find themselves homeless for a multitude of reasons: feeling violence, seeking asylum, family and relationship breakdowns.

Volunteers, known as 'hosts', open up their spare rooms to these young people. The host are fully trained, vetted and based all across London. The young people will be provided with dinner, a place to wash, a bed and breakfast. The next morning the young people will return to the agency or the college which they are engaged with, or they can self-refer back in to Nightstop.

Young people are worked with closely to empower them to become independent and have access to long term housing options.
