Free School Meals

Parents/carers eligible for free school meals could save themselves hundreds of pounds each year by applying.

Children and young people can have free school meals, if their family is receiving:

  • income-based jobseeker's allowance;
  • income-related employment and support allowance;  or
  • child tax credit, (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)

The school will ask to see a letter showing that the young person or their family is currently receiving one of these payments.

You will need to contact your child's school directly for more information and to apply.

Wandsworth FSM vouchers are issued based on school breaks published here:
https://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/termdates

FSM vouchers are issued on the Wednesday before each school break via evouchers.com (same company as Wonde.com). For each voucher issued, one text message and one email is sent to the email and phone number contacts associated to the eligible child. These contacts are maintained by schools so any email or phone number change request must be addressed to the relevant school.

The text message or email that parents receive should contain a link. Parents should follow evouchers.com step by step guidance on how to access their voucher:
https://help.evouchers.com/hc/en-gb/sections/18139631933457-Access-Evouchers-via-the-mobile-app

Parents can login at any time to view their vouchers. This can be done via any browser or through evouchers.com mobile app (link to download app here). Below are the necessary steps to login to evouchers.com via browser:

Parents can check the balance of their voucher at any time. Instructions depend on the retailer selected. Guidance for each retailer can be found in the following link:
https://help.evouchers.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360014448838-Check-the-balance-of-a-voucher

Vouchers can be used online or in store and do not have to be printed or downloaded.

Any technical issues with the platform (evouchers.com) should be addressed to their customer service support team (Schoolvouchers.com support@schoolvouchers.com)

For any query not covered by the above or by the dedicated Recipients FAQ section, please refer to Voucher and holiday support voucherandholidaysupport@wandsworth.gov.uk
