Battersea Arts Centre

Battersea Arts Centre occupies an old town hall in the heart of Battersea and is renowned for making some of the most cutting-edge new theatre in the UK.

Battersea Arts Centre hosts welcoming and inclusive spaces where communities, artists and audiences can connect and be creative. We present performance and nurture the creativity of local young people, communities and artists. We are the world’s first Relaxed Venue, which means we embed the social model of disability through everything we do.

This means 90% of our shows are relaxed, including providing access information about running time, content and the sensory environment when you buy a ticket. We also have a chill out space that is available anytime the building is open, step-free access throughout the building, and multiple accessible toilets.

BAC runs the BAC Beatbox Academy, the BAC Dance Academy, and The Agency, all of which support young people to find their creative voice.

All of our programming is Pay What You Can to remove financial barriers, meaning you can access world-class art for as little as £3.
