Speech & Language Therapy (Children’s)
Speech and Language therapists work with children and young people who have speech and language impairments and difficulties. Therapists work across a range of areas to diagnose and treat these conditions.
This service is for children and young people aged 0 to 16 years.
The speech and language therapy service offers help for children and young people with
- Language difficulties or language disorder (e.g. Developmental Language Disorder)
- Speech sounds difficulites
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Social communication differences
- Selective mutism
- Mild, moderate or severe learning difficulties
- Hearing Impairment

Professionals working with families or parent/carers in Wandsworth can make a referral using the referral form under the downloads section above and email to CommPaedSLTReferral@stgeorges.nhs.uk. Please note, the child you are referring must be registered to a Wandsworth GP. If making a transfer referral from another borough’s SLT service, please include the most recent report for the child
You will be contacted by our admin team or a speech and language therapist once your referral has been triaged and assigned to a Speech and Language Therapist.
