Devas Juniors Summer Holiday

*This activity is part of the Holiday, Activities and Food programme, for children eligible for free school meals*

Young people aged 8 - 11 will engage in a wide range of activities throughout the week with the main focus being football & fitness. This will promote good health, positive sports development, well-being development and healthy eating.

Devas is looking to connect with SEN Talk to provide support for parents who may need guidance with employment, parenting, managing mental health and disabilities and more. This will help Devas to provide a service for parents that can be effective and beneficial while it will be optional to attend.

Young people will engage with boxing and fitness sessions throughout the summer holiday. They will look to run one session per day each week. This will help to provide a rigorous workout/circuit routine to maintain fitness and test boundaries as well as developing non-contact boxing skills and attributes.

Young people will take part in a fun, engaging and exciting sports day which will host a wide range of races, competitions and team activities. There will be activities such as 100m race, 400m race, long jump, egg & spoon race, brown sack race along with football and rounders/cricket. This will promote sports and healthy living, increase confidence, techniques, abilities and skills. This will also help to reward hard work, dedication and endorse supporting friends and team mates.

To round off a fun packed summer an adventure to adventure land in South End, beach rides, music, food and friends.
