City and Guilds Bursaries

City & Guilds is a world leading vocational education organisation. A bursary is available for people currently completing a City and Guilds or ILM qualification. The bursary programme is very competitive and only a small number of bursaries are available.

 Who can apply?

Men or women over the age of 18 years living in Britain who wish to study, or are studying for a City and Guilds or ILM qualification. Funding is available for courses in:

  • engineering;
  • chemical industry;
  • electro-technical; and
  • plumbing and heating.

What can I get?

Up to £1000 is available for course fees, exams and course related expenses such as living costs, books/equipment, travel costs and childcare. This also includes course enrolment fees.

 How do I apply?

You must complete an online form on the website. Applications are considered twice a year, in May and October, and can be submitted up to three months before the closing date. For deadlines see the website.

 What is not funded?

There is no funding available for courses which are not City and Guilds accredited.
