Siblings Together

Re-uniting brothers and sisters who require safe fun and special time together to share family experiences.

Siblings Together promote positive contact between brothers and sisters who have been separated through foster, kinship, residential care or adoption. Siblings Together run holiday camps, Monthly Activity Days and a Buddying Scheme that safely reunites siblings whose lives have been affected by living in care. Siblings Together also run creative connections programmes for all young people who are currently in care or have recently left the care system.

Sharing fun times together alongside other sibling groups from across London. We welcome referrals from all boroughs, our team are happy to discuss, and to answer any queries

  • 1 contact session between siblings each month from 10am - 4pm (Either Saturday or Sunday)
  • Opportunity for brothers and sisters to enjoy regularly extended contact with each other through participating in fun activities and trips, such as: London Eye, Kayaking, London Aquarium, Bowling, City Farm - to name a few.
  • Opportunity for sibling groups to socialise with other young people and children who have a shared experience of being separated in the care system (the groups are small, about 6-10 children attend per session)
  • Contact sessions are supervised by qualified social workers and youth workers who are assisted by a highly skilled volunteer team
  • Provision of written feedback to social workers after each session
  • The service is available for children 5-18 year olds
  • The cost is only £30 per child (due to the fact the charity fundraises all year round to subsidise the service to make it affordable for Local Authorities)

And most importantly...

  • The specialist contact arrangements that we offer have been proven to improve the day-to-day lived experience for children who attend the sessions by significantly reducing the pain, hurt and anger that is caused through sibling separation.

To attend, you will need to be referred by a professional.
