**********************************************************************

Chelsea Playground runs sessions for children and young people with disabilities between the ages of 6 - 14 years. (We may take a child of 5 years old if they are already in Year 1 at school).

It offers outdoor and indoor facilities on a secure site including:

  • soft play area;
  • sand, water and sensory trays;
  • paddling pool;
  • in-ground trampoline;
  • swings;
  • arts and crafts; and
  • bikes, trikes and scooters.

They can provide:

  • Saturday sessions during term time; and;
  • Holiday play-schemes.

Opening Times:

  • School Holiday Play-schemes: Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 4pm
  • Saturday Club 10am to 4pm

Please note for children attending outside of Wandsworth borough, places are funded from 10am- 3:30pm.

If the initial assessment is successful, we will then arrange for you and your child to come for a visit on a Saturday at either 11am or 1:30pm. On that visit all registration forms will be completed as well as a further assessment of the child on site in order to confirm that we are providing them with the right level of support.

Due to the nature of our site, Chelsea can accommodate a range of support allocations; 1-1, 1-2 or 1-4. These will need to be funded by your local authority or through direct payments. We can only take children on 1-4 or 1-2 support levels if we have enough other children to make up this group size.

This funding can only be agreed after our assessments have been completed, please contact us first and do not get a care package agreed before we have seen you.

These assessments are not carried at on Saturdays in the school holidays, or in the run up to the Summer holidays, so please arrange to visit in term time.
