Mainstream Primary Speech and Language Therapy service
We provide Speech and Language therapy advice, assessment and treatment to children and young people in Wandsworth maintained, mainstream primary schools with the following:
- Language difficulties or language disorder (including Developmental Language Disorder)
- Communication difficulties associated with Autism or another neurodevelopmental condition
- Selective mutism or reluctance to speak
We provide specialist 1:1 and group support for identified pupils in their school and a targeted service including training for school staff.
We offer those in an out of borough or independent school (therefore not eligible for our mainstream schools service) a one-off assessment in our clinics. Any primary-school aged children that have speech sound difficulties or a stammer need to be referred to our Community and Clinic SLT Team (please link page).
